The new 2020 Ford F-250 is about to arrive. Blue Oval released full details about its new truck. From what we saw, F-250 will get some major changes. You can expect improvements in almost every category. That includes the exterior, interior, and numerous mechanical changes as well. The goal is to deliver better performances and improve the versatility of the vehicle.
On top of that, the comfort is improved as well. F-250 is a true workhorse and you won’t find better choices in the markets. Blue Oval offers both gasoline and diesel options and we can also expect a hybrid version too. The base model is well-equipped but if you want luxury, Ford is offering its F-250 Platinum model.
2020 Ford F-250 Will Lose Some Weight
All of Ford’s Super-Duty lineup will get similar or the same visual upgrades. The upcoming 2020 Ford F-250 will get a new front fascia. It is perhaps the highlight of the latest exterior changes. A grille is new, along with the LED headlights. The rear end will get new taillights and bolder bumpers.
Ford will also introduce more aluminum materials so the vehicle will lose some weight. As a result, the 2020 F-250 will be lighter than the current model. A tailgate step is a newly available feature, along with the locking tailgate system. The Platinum trim level comes with body-colored features, trailer camera, satin grille, and unique wheels.
From the inside, the Blue Oval manufacturer will also provide important updates. The all-new 2020 Ford F-250 will look better and more upscale as a result. However, don’t expect significant interior changes. When we talk about the interiors in the heavy-duty segment, F-250 is probably the best one.
The infotainment system is up to date and Ford will offer new displays. On top of that, the cabin wears more high-quality materials this time. If you want real luxury from the inside, opt for the range-topping Platinum trim level. It adds unique leather upholstery, more safety aids, and numerous premium features.
2020 Ford F-250 Powertrain
According to the latest reports, new F-250 could get mechanical changes. However, this is just speculation for now. Until that happens, the 2020 Ford F-250 will stay intact. A 6.2-liter V8 is still a single gasoline option. It delivers 385 horses and 430 lb-ft of torque. A 6.7-liter diesel is an optional engine that produces 440 horsepower and up to 925 lb-ft of torque.
Both engines will deploy the same 10-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid version of the F-250 pickup is in the work as well. While exact specs are not available yet, a hybrid powertrain will deliver great fuel economy figures. On the other hand, we don’t expect any improvements in terms of power.
2020 Ford F-250 Tremor
We already mentioned the range-topping trim level. It comes with plenty of luxury and a lot of premium amenities. However, the 2020 Ford F-250 will introduce its off-road package, Tremor. Similar to the Raptor, Tremor package adds numerous off-road features. It is available only in the crew-cab variant and it is available on a couple of specific trim levels.
F-250 Tremor comes with lifted suspension, new tires, beefier look, and numerous off-road equipment. As for the performances, Tremor brings a 7.3-liter V8 with small improvements. According to Blue Oval manufacturer, Tremor will deliver a class-leading figure for its gasoline powertrain. This package will cost an additional $2,000 or slightly more.
Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2020 Ford F-250 will start at $35,000. The F-250 Platinum will surely cost around $70,000. A hybrid model is not confirmed, but if it arrives, it will start at $40,000. According to numerous reports, this heavy-duty model will go on sale this November. Ford already released most of the details about its upcoming model.
