2021 Ford F-250 – Hybrid is Coming

The approaching 2021 Ford F-250 is ready for further improvements. This heavy-duty model will most likely get a hybrid powertrain. On top of that, a hybrid variant will hit the roads at the same time as the standard gasoline version. Visually, some things will change. However, don’t expect anything spectacular.

The interior will also benefit from the latest upgrades. Whatsoever, the cabin will now look more upscale and more modern. Performance-wise, F-250 remains. That means you can still choose between gasoline and diesel powertrain options. Finally, new Tremor package is becoming available.

Ford F-250 Spy Shots

The all-new model has been caught on camera. The latest spy shots of the 2021 Ford F-250 are available now. On the same photos, we can spot new badge up front. A similar styling cue can be found on the latest Ram’s pickup trucks. The front grille now looks more aggressive, and the taillights are reshaped. New F-250 will benefit from additional aluminum. This should reduce the overall weight, but not drastically.

As for the high-strength steel frame, nothing will change. Ford promises a better tow rating and payload capacity. Moreover, Blue Oval says that the next F-250 will be the “best one” so far. Still, heavy camouflage is entirely hiding the rest of the vehicle. Hopefully, we could see a couple of more visual upgrades.

Interior Updates

The interior of the upcoming 2021 Ford F-250 is also getting numerous refreshments. Design-wise, this model will largely remain. Even the layout of the buttons and controls is the same. So, what is new? Ford will deliver the latest technology updates. That includes updates of the infotainment system and the rest of the high-tech amenities.

Optionally, F-250 offers a lot of equipment that will make this interior luxurious. The dashboard is unchanged, but it still looks impressive. We like the optional two-tone leather seats and new all-weather floor mats. Finally, the Blue Oval will introduce new driver-assistance features. However, all new features are standard on the upper trim levels only.

F-250 Hybrid is Coming to the Markets

The brand-new 2021 Ford F-250 will get one significant upgrade. It is a hybrid powertrain. It is a product of the cooperation between Ford and the “XL Hybrid” company. Blue Oval is going green, that’s nothing new. But we must admit that we are surprised by the Super-Duty model getting a hybrid variant. No hate, this sounds awesome. Whatsoever, Ford didn’t reveal that much to this date. On the other hand, the XL Hybrids are promising at least 25 percent of better fuel efficiency. We are still waiting for more precise details.

As for the conventional engines, the 2021 F-250 is unchanged. A 6.7-liter V8 is a standard powertrain option once again. This gasoline output is good for 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. A 6.7-liter V8 is optional. A turbodiesel is generating 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to that, F-250 can tow up to 33,000 pounds.
