The forthcoming 2021 Ford Ranger is ready to conquer a pickup truck market. Images of the fourth-generation Ranger have been leaked and from them, we can see plenty of novelties. The new model will be totally redesigned and it will get a new look. Unfortunately, at this moment there is no available image of the cabin.
According to the latest information, the 2021 Ford Ranger pickup will continue to ride on the same platform as before. The same platform also underpins the popular VW Amarok model. So, with the release of this new pickup, we can expect numerous exterior, interior upgrades, and more safety.
2021 Ford Ranger Enhance Design
The design of the 2021 Ford Ranger from the leaked images looks unique. The manufacturer will totally redesign this pickup and make it look even more attractive than before. The next-gen Ranger’s platform will also underpin the Volkswagen Amarok pickup and long-awaited Bronco model. However, most of the exterior cues will be borrowed from the popular F-150 truck. At the front of this pickup, there are two large chrome bars bisecting a rectangular grille. Also, the similar C-shaped headlights that are on the F-150 model are present, like the square foglights.
The hood is also new if we can believe leaked photos. The hood will be more aggressive with the similar lines of the Super Duty models. The side profile is almost the same as before. At the back, the changes are more evolutionary thanks to the new taillights that are a little blockier than before.
At this moment there is a little information about the interior of the all-new 2021 Ford Ranger. However, we know for sure that the manufacturer will make a cabin very pleasant. So, according to some gossip, the new model will be reconstructed inside. This means that the upcoming mid-size truck will offer plenty of novelties. The standard package will include a new 8-inch touchscreen Sync 3 infotainment system, base audio system 4-speaker AM/FM unit, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone compatibility.
However, the B&O premium audio system will be optional. A comfortable cabin and ride will be also guaranteed with plenty of standard features. The new Ford Ranger is available with two rows of seats and it offers decent space inside. Also, as before, this pickup truck can accommodate four or five passengers (SuperCab models).
There is no official info on what engine will power the 2021 Ford Ranger. However, according to some gossip, it will deploy two engine options. The first one is a 2.3-liter DOHC engine. This turbocharged engine is able to deliver 270 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque and is connected to the 10-speed automatic transmission. Also, from the same source comes the info that the new model will be offered with the rear-wheel-drive setup as standard and all-wheel-drive configuration will remain optional.
The next unit that will power this pickup is an optional diesel engine. Under the bonnet of this model will be 2.0-liter Eco Blue powertrain that generates 210 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. This engine like the first one will use the same transmission system.

At this moment price of the Ranger is still a mystery. However, from some rumors, the new 2021 Ford Ranger will be in a range from $25,000 to $30,000 for the standard model. However, higher trim levels will surely cost over $40,000. As for the release date, some rumors suggest that it will happen later in 2020.
