The forthcoming 2021 Mitsubishi L200 is ready to introduce some updates. From the latest news, the manufacturer will add plenty of smaller changes that will affect better output design and more standard features. However, L200 is still far away from a total revamp, and the new model will only get mid-cycle refreshment.
However, a new pickup truck will continue to be attractive and according to some gossip, there will be some mechanical changes. On top of that, the upcoming model will introduce a new engine to the UK market. However, we are still waiting for more details.

2021 Mitsubishi L200 Exterior Facelift
The total revamp of the newest 2021 Mitsubishi L200 will not happen this year. Moreover, the next-generation will come with mid-cycle refreshments only. Dimension and shape will remain the same and this pickup will continue to be 205 inches long and 70 inches tall.
Generally, most of the refreshments will happen on the front fascia. There will be a couple of modest improvements. The manufacturer used a more attractive ‘Dynamic Shield’ design language. As a result, the front part looks more muscles this time thanks to the angular foglights and the new high-mounted LED headlights.
Cabin Updates and Safety Features
When it comes to interior changes, the upcoming 2021 Mitsubishi L200 will sports the same layout as the current model. However, some small refreshments will happen and the latest pickup now offers a center console that has been lightly revised. Besides that, we can see a new row of switches and another rendition of the Dynamic Shield around the vents. On top of that, there will be plenty of customizations and the new model will offer five trim options including 4life, Trojan, Warrior, Barbarian, and Barbarian X.
The range-topping Barbarian X will provide more luxury than the rest ones. This package will add a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensor, and ambient lighting. However, choosing the cheaper Warrior, buyers will get a reversing camera that should be enough for most of drivers.
Besides that, there will also be more safety this time. The standard package will include blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, and emergency braking.

Engine Changes
The attractive 2021 Mitsubishi L200 will get some mechanical changes and the new engine for the UK market. According to the latest reports, the manufacturer will use a new 2.3-liter turbodiesel producing 150 hp and 400Nm (from 2,000rpm). This engine will be connected to a new six-speed automatic gearbox. Besides that, the 2.4-liter motor found in previous-generation L200s will be still offered. This engine generates 181 horsepower.
Mitsubishi will also introduce some mechanical upgrades. The previous-generation model runs from 0 to 62 mph in 10.4 seconds. However, the new one is even quicker. From the latest testing, the upcoming 2021 Mitsubishi L200 is capable of reaching 62 mph in 9.2 seconds. Unfortunately, there are no official figures for the 2.3-liter turbodiesel, but we can expect more information soon.

2021 Mitsubishi L200 Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2021 Mitsubishi L200 is the pickup truck that will come with minor upgrades. Because of that, we can assume that the price will be unchanged. The current pickup truck starts at $30,000 for the base model.
As you may know, the L200 model is also known in some markets as the “Triton”. However, the redesigned model will be available to purchase in the last quarter of 2020.
