The facelifted 2021 Renault Alaskan has been confirmed for this year. As you probably know, the first generation of this pickup looks very similar to the Nissan Navara. Basically, both models share plenty of cues and the same architecture. Moreover, Alaskan is one of three models that will be developed on the Renault-Nissan pickup platform.
According to the manufacturer, the next model will bring plenty of novelties and it will be closely related to Mercedes X-Class pickup. Alaskan is a very similar pickup and we can expect high sales. The new truck will arrive later in 2020 as the 2022YM.
2021 Renault Alaskan Wears the Company’s New Design Language
Company’s newest pickup truck 2021 Renault Alaskan will share plenty of similarities with the Nissan Navara and Mercedes X-Class models. As we mentioned, the new Alaskan will ride on the same platform that underpins Navara pickup. Alaskan is a good-looking model and it wears the company’s new design language.
The front of this pickup features a new grille and bolder bumpers. However, this time we can expect grille with more chrome accents. Like on many Renault models, the logo of this brand will sit in the middle of the front grille. The rear part will surely remain to be attractive with the same sharp lines and revised taillights. Moreover, we can also expect more stylish 17-inch wheels than before.
2021 Renault Alaskan Cabin Details
There is no much information about what will be changed inside the upcoming 2021 Renault Alaskan. We heard plenty of speculations, but one is certain, the new model will be more modern and stylish.
French manufacturer Renault will most likely update the infotainment system and it will add a couple of new features. Once again, the Alaskan will borrow a lot of elements from the famous Navara pickup, but it will keep its uniqueness. Design-wise, the cabin should continue to be practical and spacious. The standard package will still include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 12-volt power outlets, navigation, Bluetooth, and so on.
Single Engine With Two Different Outputs
The new version 2021 Renault Alaskan will once again use the same powertrain as the predecessor. This engine is potent and Alaskan uses a 2.3-liter dCi powertrain. Like before, this mill will be available with two different outputs. According to French automaker, the first output generates 158 hp and 297 lb-ft of torque. However, the second one is more potent and it delivers 190 hp and 332 lb-ft of twisting power.
Interestingly, if you didn’t know, the same powertrain is also available in the Nissan Navara and Mercedes X-Class models. Depending on the trim level, the upcoming Alaskan can get with eider 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission.
2021 Renault Alaskan Price and Release Date
The latest 2021 Renault Alaskan will be refreshed and sharper. This model should keep the same pricing as before and we can expect it to start below $35,000.
