Australia’s top-selling vehicle Toyota Hilux is getting its first major overhaul since 2015. The new model 2021 Toyota Hilux SR5 will introduce some changes includes a bolder look. Generally, this time manufacturer added more features like bi-LED headlights, more comfortable suspension and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto support.
Under the hood, this model still uses the same 2.8-liter diesel engine that now generates 200 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, the new pickup has gained an additional 25 horses and 40 lb-ft of twisting power.

The latest 2021 Toyota Hilux SR5 will get some exterior updates. This model features a bold new nose with a ‘shield-style’ grille. We think that Toyota Tundra inspired the manufacturer to make a similar front fascia. However, if you opt for a manual transmission, torque will drop by 20 lb-ft or a total amount of 350 lb-ft.
We also heard a lot of speculations recently about hybrid systems. However, the latest rumors indicate that the Japanese manufacturer won’t offer a hybrid system this time, but can be expected shortly.
