The new 2022 Chevrolet S10 has been just unveiled, but unfortunately only for the South American country. From many reports, General Motors plans to start production in the São José dos Campos assembly plant in May.
Like Colorado model, the new S10 will be available in three body styles: single cab, double cab, and chassis cab. Generally, for 2022, the manufacturer will introduce this pickup truck with a few updates. For a start, the design will be refreshed, and it will provide more equipment. This truck is entering its third generation, and it will be most likely available to purchase next month.
2022 Chevrolet S10 Styling
The newly introduced 2022 Chevrolet S10 is a reliable pickup truck that is very popular in Brazil. Generally, it’s the Colorado model on the steroids. As we mentioned, the new truck is available in forms as a single cab, double cab, and chassis cab. Generally, all models provide a very compact design and attractive design.
For 2022, Chevy makes a couple of changes to the front fascia. First of all, the S10 features a wider black grille that is connected to the new shaped LED headlights. As we can see, the manufacturer used more black accents that are visible around fog lights, on the wheels, and on the roof racks. Moreover, like Colorado, the S10 most expensive trim is the High Country, which brings better visual appeal.
Interior Offers More Technology
The country’s best-selling pickup truck will feature a more modern cabin this time. Basically, the manufacturer’s priority is to make this truck more competitive than most of its rivals. To do that, Chevy added some excellent materials and plenty of advanced techs. On top of that, the seats of S10 are supportive, and there’s a decent passenger room in the second row.
Generally, depending on trim levels, the luxury inside will vary. For example, going for the base model, buyers will get onboard Wi-Fi, wireless smartphone charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The new S10 also includes the new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment that is paired with the latest Chevy MyLink system. To lux out your truck, go for the High Country version. This model includes navigation, more quality materials, and Bluetooth audio streaming for up to two devices.
2022 Chevrolet S10 Engine Specs
Under the hood, the new generation will most likely use some of the existing engines. The first candidate is a well-known 3.6-liter V6 with around 310 horsepower, which seems like a logical choice.
Many believe that the next one will be a 2.7-liter unit that will deliver around 320 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This mill is, for the first time, introduced last year on some of Chevy’s models. Along with this engine, GM would probably introduce a new 10-speed automatic transmission as well.

Unfortunately, this pickup truck will be only available for the South American country. According to Marketing Director Rodrigo Fioco, the pre-orders of the newest Chevrolet S10 were started a few days ago, and buyers most demand for the more-equipped versions.
