The all-new 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor has been rendered and according to the latest news, this model is set to arrive in the following year. Blue Oval is also prepared to reveal the long-awaited Ford Bronco this spring. The 2020 Detroit Auto Show in June is a very likely possibility.
The next-generation F-150 will not deviate away from the traditional pickup truck exterior design for sure. As you may have already known, Ford F-150 models are America’s long-time best-selling vehicles. Whatsoever, Ford also promises an all-electric variant in the near future that will try to compete with the recently showed Tesla Cybertruck.
2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Will Bring More Revolutionary Design
The next-gen 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor will definitively bring more revolutionary design. From the newest rendering photos that just appears, we can see the same shape and size as on the current model.
However, there are some refreshments and the images reveal more destructive front fascia that hosts sharper lines and strangely shaped headlights. Also, we can see a new mesh grille design with a single cross-bar splitting it in half horizontally. According to numerous reports, the upcoming model will sit on the same architecture as the current one. However, we think that the manufacturer may introduce the new platform with the electric variant. Aside from the truck’s new look, this model is also known as an off-road king, thanks to the all-terrain tires that are more reassuring this time.
The cabin of the new 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor will definitely be more stylish than before. Blue Oval will add more premium materials and tech to stay competitive. Like the current model, the new Raptor is the pickup truck that will provide plenty of space inside. There are enough rooms inside for five passengers with decent headroom and legroom.
When it comes to upscale features, the F-150 Raptor will not disappoint. It will continue to offer the adaptive cruise control and excellent Sync 3 infotainment system. However, we don’t know for sure if the manufacturer keeps the same 8-inch touch screen, or it will use something more significant. One thing is for sure, the fully integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be present.
There is no exact information what will precisely power the upcoming 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor pickup. From many speculations, the next-gen model will most likely ditch the supercharged 5.2-liter mill found inside the Mustang Shelby GT500. This powertrain is potent and it cranks out 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of twist. We can also expect the same all four wheels drive system and 10-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox. However, the current Raptor comes with a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Arrival Date and Cost
Because this pickup truck is still in the production stage, we cannot assume its price. However, the release date is set for the next year. Generally, we know that the next-gen model will provide a more aggressive approach and that may use the same powertrain that powers Mustang Shelby GT500.
The current Raptor starts close to $55,000, and we assume that the new one will cost a couple of thousand dollars more.
