2022 Ford F-150 Exterior
The 15th generation, 2022 Ford F-150, should gain many improvements over the previous generation. That means more attractive styling and probably a new platform that can carry a massive battery, and dual electric motors.
Even though Ford has made plenty of changes to the current model, the new F-150 will be slightly wider, and we can expect more modifications on the front fascia. According to Ford, there will be at least 11 grilles, and three different headlight designs to choose from various trim levels. The desert-pounding Raptor is the best option, that delivers a bit more visual aggression than the rest of the models.

Standard and Optional Features
Inside, the new 2022 Ford F-150 will provide plenty of standard features. The current entry-level model offers excellent comfort and a great package of technology. This model features an 8-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity.
On top of that, all F150s come standard with forward collision warning, hill start assists, pre-collision assist system with auto emergency braking, and a rearview camera. 2022 Ford F-150 Powertrain Specs
The new 2022 Ford F-150 will be available with few engine options depending on trim levels. For example, the entry-level model will use a 3.3-liter V6 producing 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. This engine is economical, with a city/highway fuel economy of 20/24 mpg (2WD), 19/22 mpg (4WD).
As for the Raptor model, rumor has it that Ford will offer a new supercharged V8 engine taken from Shelby GT500, delivering at least 760 horses. If that happens, Blue Oval will go in line with the upcoming Ram 1500 TRX, which uses a 702-horsepower Hellcat engine.
Hybrid and All-Electric Versions
Two of the most economical models are confirmed. According to some early reports, the hybrid version will be powered by the new PowerBoost gasoline-electric drivetrain, which combines a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine and an integrated 35-kW electric motor. This engine will probably use the new 10-speed automatic transmission.
