The redesigned version 2022 Ford F-350 is arriving, and it will be available to purchase at some point next year. According to Blue Oval management, the forthcoming super duty truck will receive many novelties, including some modifications outside. The current generation received some small improvements last year, leaving Ford more space for additional upgrades.
As for the engine upgrades, we don’t know right now what will be changed under the bonnet. Most likely that the new model will keep the same engine lineup as the current one. That means it will probably be offered with the three engine options.
2022 Ford F-350 Cosmetic Changes
After the announcement of the facelifted version F-250, the manufacturer also revealed that the new 2022 Ford F-350 is in the works. The next-gen model should introduce more upgrades than the current one.
First of all, architecture remains the same, so the truck’s dimensions and shape will probably be unchanged. However, the front fascia will be revised, and the upcoming F-350 will host a new grille. Basically, the grille will be more comprehensive, and it will gain more chrome accents. Also, we heard that headlights could be slimmer like on the recently spied F-250. On the other hand, F-350 will receive a larger cab and a new remote-operated power-locking tailgate. The Tremor package is also available, and it will drastically improve the truck’s off-roading capabilities.
The next-generation 2022 Ford F-350, besides exterior changes, will gain more tech and better safety systems. However, the design inside will not change at all, and don’t be surprised to see the same layout. Generally, the F-350 is a substantial truck that offers a very spacious and comfortable cabin. On the other hand, if you want something more than standard, you can still found plenty of premium materials on the upper trims.
From what we heard, like the F-250 model, the F-350 will probably gain a new SYNC4 compatible infotainment system. On top of that, higher trim levels offer leather upholstery, a twin-panel moonroof, heated rear seats, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Engine Options, Improved Towing Capacity
The forthcoming 2022 Ford F-350 will most likely use the same engine as the outgoing model. Moreover, the same setup of drivetrain can be found under the hood of the Ford F-250 model. That means we should see three engine options. The F-350 heavy-duty truck base model comes standard with a 6.2-liter V8 producing 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine is linked to a heavy-duty 6-speed automatic transmission that shifts very smoothly. The next one is a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine providing 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque using a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
However, the most popular and the strongest is a 6.7-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel engine that produces 450 hp and 1050 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, consider the much stronger construction of the new Ford F-350, the manufacturer claims that towing will be improved. So, expect better capacity than in the current one that provides 32,000 pounds.
2022 Ford F-350 Price and Release Date
The towing king 2022 Ford F-350 will receive some mild updates and changes. According to some gossip, this model will cost around $37,000, which is slightly higher than before.
On the other side, the range-topping trim level could pass the $85,000 mark. The new version of the popular workhorse F-350 will arrive in the second half of 2021. Once again, Ford F-350 will rival Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD and Ram 3500 trucks.
