The new-generation 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak has been spied testing in full camouflage, revealing mild refreshments. This version is trendy in Europe and one of the best selling in the Ranger’s lineup after the Raptor model. On the other hand, it’s much more affordable than the Raptor, but it has lower off-road capabilities.
For 2022, the manufacturer obviously makes some changes, and the Ranger looks more rugged. First of all, through the camouflage, we noticed a more massive grille with signature headlights and the new LED taillights. Moreover, like before this truck is available in Regular Cab, Super Cab, and Double Cab body styles.

2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak Exterior Changes
The batch of new spy shots reveals some changes on the upcoming 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak. Generally, all versions of Ford Ranger’s trucks offer attractive designs followed by rugged styling. Like before, Ranger is available in three body styles includes Regular Cab, Super Cab, and Double Cab. However, through the camouflage of the spied model, we spotted a new shape for the fog lights in the front bumper and a slightly reshaped front fascia.
First of all, the new truck features a more massive grille, the same shaped LED headlights, and the new black-painted wheels. On the back, we also noticed some changes like differently shaped taillights with much better graphics and much higher clarence.

Interior Upgrades
Literally, we should expect the new 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak to keep the same design inside. Unfortunately, the new batch of photos doesn’t reveal what is happening inside. From what we heard, the new model will be more modern, featuring the same seating layout. Ford claims that the updated Ranger is now Europe’s first pickup that will include standard Pre-Collision Assist and Intelligent Speed Limiter technologies. The same systems are also available for the model in the United States.
The best-selling truck will most likely get a new infotainment system, paired with the latest Sync 4. Also, according to Ford, it will get for the first time a keyless entry and engine start functions.
2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak Powertrain Specs
Like the outgoing version, the new 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak will use the same 2.0-liter diesel engine from the recently introduced EcoBlue family of Ford. Depending on the market, this engine will offer 130 horsepower (97 kilowatts), 170 hp (127 kW), and 210 hp (157 kW). The first two variants are equipped with a single-turbo layout, replacing the outgoing 2.2-liter TDCi.
Interestingly, U.S customers will get an exclusive 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo gas engine and 10-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.

Release Date and Price
The 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak will bring mild upgrades. As mentioned, this model is one of the selling trucks in Europe. If you didn’t know, Blue Oval company also introduced Ranger Raptor for the European market two years ago, and they planned to make it available planetary.
Moreover, Ford recently revealed that Ford Ranger Wildtrak would arrive later in the year, featuring many improvements over the previous version. The price of the coming model will be slightly increased, so we should expect it to cost at least 40,000 EUR for a model with standard equipment.
