The forthcoming 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali has been spied testing recently, featuring refreshed styling. According to General Motors, the new model will feature some mild improvements.
The most exciting news is that it will get the new supercruise self-driving system and more standard features. The latest information reveals that Ford’s new Active Drive Assist will become standard in all future models. This system will also debut with the new Mustang Mach-E electric SUV, followed by the Ford F-150.

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Powertrain Specs
The new GMC Sierra offers several engine choices. Base Sierra’s are available with a 4.3-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, while recommend is still a 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. This surprisingly potent engine produces 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. However, if you need something stronger, there are two V8 powertrains as well.
The first one, the 5.3 V8, makes 355 horsepower, while the much potent 6.2-liter V8 workhorse delivers smooth 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The last engine and the most efficient is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-6 that makes 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. All GMC Sierras use an automatic transmission, either 6-, 8-, or 10-speed, depending on engine and trim level.

Release Date and Price
Unlike the standard model, the forthcoming 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali offers a much more stylish look and plenty of amenities. GMC revealed that this truck will be available sometime next year. Sitting just above $54,000 off-road-focused Sierra AT4, the fully loaded Sierra 1500 Denali can easily reach $70,000.
However, compared to the standard model, this is a jump of over $40,000. Basically, that puts GMC Sierra in line with rivals like the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan.
