The facelifted version 2022 Nissan Navara is ready to introduce a couple of upgrades and changes. From what we heard, the next-gen model might get some electrification. Many gossips are suggesting a hybrid unit or even an all-electric. Meanwhile, Ford, Chevrolet, and other rivals are doing the same thing, and it makes perfect sense that Nissan follows that.
Nissan will improve its upcoming truck, so, expect better appearance and interior design. Besides gossips about hybrid and electric versions, most probably, the manufacturer will keep its aging powertrains. This model uses a 2.3-liter turbo diesel and 2.5-liter gasoline engines.
2022 Nissan Navara Redesign
The forthcoming 2022 Nissan Navara will get some small cosmetic updates, according to many websites. This pickup truck is still competitive. However, thanks to small refreshments, it will provide a more modern appearance. First of all, the front fascia will continue with the same trapezoidal grille, but this time with more chrome accents around.
The new renderings reveal that Navara features enlarged LED headlights, fog lights, and a more muscular bumper. The side profile also comes with small bodywork improvements, including stylish 18-inch wheels. The rear part should remain the same with significantly shaped taillights and large cab.
Interior Improvements
As you may know, Nissan updated its current pickup last year with more upscale materials and a new touchscreen infotainment system. However, the new 2022 Nissan Navara will most likely receive some small upgrades from what we heard. The seats should remain comfortable, with a leather option on the upper trim.
In terms of techs, Nissan Navara will probably use the same 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. For comparison, the Toyota Tacoma also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, while the new Subaru Outback has an 11.6-inch screen. Other standard equipments of Navara include air-conditioning, Bluetooth, a backup camera, USB/iPod port, Siri Eyes Free, cruise control, two 12-volt DC power outlets, keyless entry, and much more.
2022 Nissan Navara Engine Specs
The forthcoming 2022 Nissan Navara will be for sure powered with the same engines as the predecessor. The first powertrain is a 2.3-liter diesel unit that is capable of delivering 160 hp and up to 250 lb-ft of torque.
The more potent 2.5-liter gasoline twin-turbo engine remains as well. This engine produces a little less than 190 horses. Some reports are suggesting the all-new 3.0-liter diesel engine as optional. However, this rumor is not yet officially confirmed.
Navara EV
Just to clarify, the Nissan Navara EV isn’t official yet, so every info provided by us is still the only speculation. First of all, plenty of reliable sources are strongly suggesting that the next-gen Nissan Navara should get some electrification. However, if it happens, expect more power and better efficiency, that is for sure. However, no one can predict what system will power the new Navara.
Price and Release Date
The facelifted 2022 Nissan Navara will most likely cost slightly more than before. From plenty of reports, the upcoming model will start at $30,000, which is 3k more than the predecessor.
As for the all-electric version, anything below $45,000 would be a surprise for all. The Japanese manufacturer will introduce the new pickup truck sometime in 2021 as 2022YM.
