The all-new 2023 Chevy Silverado Electric is coming. This truck has been confirmed officially, and according to Chevrolet, it will come with a powerful battery that will deliver at least 400 miles of range. Built-in the same Michigan factory as the Hummer EV, the new truck will be more attractive than the regular version.
According to rumors, it will receive some modification on the front fascia, including a close-up grille like on many electric models. Besides, the cabin should also be more modern, featuring many improvements. We also expect this truck to arrive in 2022, and it will be sold alongside the gas-powered Silverado.

2023 Chevy Silverado Electric Design and Platform
GM didn’t release any details regarding the exterior styling of the new electric truck. However, from the information that we got, the forthcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado Electric will look more attractive than the regular one.
First of all, expect a revised front fascia with a closed grille as we saw on the recently introduced F-150 electric model. EV would shift from the body-on-frame platform to the one which is used on the Hummer model. This platform allows a stack of battery packs below the vehicle floor between the axles on a frame.
Interior Features
Given that the upcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado Electric will share a Hummer EV platform, we expect at least similar spacious cabin. Chevrolet hasn’t release any information about trim levels for the Silverado EV yet, but it will soon. We also expect this model to offer more luxury to consumers than the regular one. So, much better materials and the new infotainment system is a must.
The current Silverado offers many features that help this truck to conquer a long day of towing easily. It includes a proven technology of Trailer Sway Control, Hill Start Assist, and Auto Grade Braking. Chevrolet Silverado also comes with Trailer Theft Alert, Electric Parking Brake Hookup Assist, and Brake Gain Memory on the integrated trailer brake controller.

2023 Chevy Silverado Electric Specs
At this moment, the manufacturer didn’t reveal any figures on the new electric truck. According to GM’s, the all-new 2023 Chevy Silverado will be available with multiple powertrain configurations and battery-pack sizes. There will be more than likely models with one, two, and three electric motors.
The most powerful truck will be able to travel around 400 miles using an Ultium battery of 200.0-kWh capacity. If you didn’t know, the same battery capacity is used on the newest Hummer EV model, but it translates an estimated 350-mile range.
Release Date and Cost
The most exciting news is that 2023 Chevy Silverado Electric is coming. This model will be all-electric, and it will go up against the upcoming electric Ford F-150. According to some gossip, the electric truck’s debut will most likely to happen next year as the 2023 year model.
GM officials recently confirmed that it would offer 30 new electric models by 2025. Chevy is also preparing to update the current internal-combustion Silverado lineup, likely for the 2022 model year. As for the pricing, it will surely be revealed in the coming months. In the same class is the smaller Rivian R1T, as well as the forthcoming Tesla Cybertruck.
