The 2023 Ford Super Duty lineup will be reportedly refreshed for the following year. As far as we know, the new truck will host lots of upgrades, including new interior and exterior color options, improved technology features, and some new appearance packages. However, don’t expect some significant upgrades as we saw for the 2020 model year. Actually, Super Duty will be a carryover model with some mild changes.
The new truck will deploy the same Godzilla 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine used to power three-quarter-ton and one-ton heavy-duty trucks. Besides this engine, the manufacturer still offers a diesel engine, which uses a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8.
2023 Ford Super Duty Exterior
For 2023, Super Duty will receive some of the new features and packages. Besides a regular look, Blue Oval will introduce a new Lariat Sport Appearance Package. This model will include body-color bumpers, exterior mirrors, a grille, chrome exhaust tip, and a black platform running board.
The manufacturer also made some changes, and now the Black Appearance Package is available on the XLT models. This package is the most favorite, and it includes 20-inch Ebony Black-painted premium wheels, body-color front, and rear bumpers, grille bars, six-inch Ebony Black running boards, and front and rear black Blue Ovals. As for the exterior color palette, the manufacturer will add a new Atlas Blue alongside Baja and Navy Pier paint.
The new 2023 Ford Super Duty looks more stylish inside than before. It hosts some of the upgrades, including an all-new, landscape-oriented 12-inch center touch screen, the same that we saw on the lighter F-150 model. This screen comes standard with SYNC 4 on Lariat and above trim levels.
However, the standard LX model features a 4.2-inch center screen with SYNC 3, while an 8-inch center touch screen and SYNC 3 are standard on XLT. Overall, the design is refreshed as well on all trims, and you’ll find the same roomy cabin as before. Depending on cab configuration, the Ford Super Duty can fit up to five passengers.
2023 Ford Super Duty Powertrain Specs
Under the hood of the 2023 Ford Super Duty trucks, you’ll find three engine options. The first one is a gutsy 6.2-liter V8 capable of developing 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Like before, we expect this engine to be connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The next one is an optional gasoline 7.3-liter V8 generating 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the most favorite option is a Power Stroke turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel V8, developing 450 horsepower and a stunning 1,050 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the first engine, this one is available with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
