The upcoming 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 has finally been spied testing after so many speculations. The new model was caught two days ago, hiding in the parking lot, under heavy camo. From what we can tell, GM’s mid-size pickup trucks look identical as the regular model.
The covers hide body lines, but we managed to see a broader face of the GMC Canyon AT4. Furthermore, the chunky fenders and modest suspension height reveal that we are looking at the AT4 model. Under the hood, this model will be offered with just a single four-cylinder engine option. The leading candidate is GM’s potent turbocharged 2.7-liter unit that’s capable of pumping out 310 horsepower (231 kilowatts).

2023 GMC Canyon AT4 First Look
Considering that the heavy camo is covering much of AT4 body lines, there is no clear look at what is changed. In general, compared to the regular GMC Canyon mid-size formula, the formula won’t change too much.
From what we can tell, the grille of the AT4 looks different, and proportions suggest it has a broader face. Furthermore, unlike the base model, the AT4 has more chunky fenders and specially made suspension. We also got one close-up image of the tires, showing a set of 265/65 Goodyear Wranglers on 18-inch wheels.

Cabin With More Standard Features
The 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 will have a very modern and spacious cabin. Unlike the regular truck, the forthcoming one will offer more comfort and plenty of new additional. As standard we’ve heard that the Canyon AT4 will include a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a backup camera, air conditioning, Teen Driver mode, power door locks, power windows, rear bumper corner steps, and a locking tailgate.
However, you can also upgrade to leather seats, Bose 7-speaker premium audio and ventilated front seats. There are also rumors that GMC will offer an upgraded 8-inch infotainment system with navigation. We also expect some additional safety assist and better safety compared to the regular one.
2023 GMC Canyon AT4 Engine Specs
The manufacturer will offer only a four-cylinder engine under the hood of the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4. According to many reports, the forthcoming truck will use a GM’s potent turbocharged 2.7-liter unit that’s capable of producing out 310 horsepower (231 kilowatts).
Compared to Blue Oval competition, the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 exceeds it by a few ponies more. Anyway, we expect the upcoming model to also come with a new transmission, probably borrowed from Sierra and Silverado and backed by a 10-speed automatic.

Release Date, Price
The release date of the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 will probably happen next year. In general, we can expect the new truck to be available at the same time as the regular model. Besides more robust look and a few additional features, the AT4 looks similar to the standard variant.
