The 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is the latest off-road pickup truck that looks more attractive than the regular Sierra model. As far as we know, this variant will be mechanically identical to the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. It uses a 6.2L V8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. However, it features some different content that you simply cannot get it with the ZR2.
On top of that, the interior of the AT4X is extremely luxury-forward and is no less comfortable than the Denali trim. The cabin is wrapped in full-grain leather, ash wood trim, a microsuede headliner, and GMC added a 15-inch heads-up display.

2023 GMC Sierra AT4X Design
Outside, the 2023 Sierra AT4X looks more attractive than the regular model, thanks to many upgrades. This truck is GMCs pinnacles of the offer, slotting in above the existing GMC Sierra AT4. It features a massive grille, attractive headlights, and it rolls on a set of black 18-inch wheels.
The new AT4X is also offered with plenty of rocker guard accessories and unique Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers. Similar dampers we saw on the Colorado ZR2 and Silverado ZR2. In addition, these dampers, compared to the non-X GMC Sierra AT4, come with individual springs, the combination of which increases the maximum front suspension travel by 50mm and rear suspension travel by 25mm.
Cabin Looks Modern and Spacious
On the inside, the 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is modern and spacious. The new variant will be decked out with the same unique “Obsidian Rush” interior treatment as the Denali trim. Comfort is one of the best, and it incorporates premium leather upholstery with white piping and red stitching. In general, the upcoming AT4X features more than the Denali.
The luxurious leather is complemented by Vanta ash wood trim, and the manufacturer added 16-way power-adjustable and massaging front seats. On top of that, as standard equipment, there is a 15-inch Head-Up Display and powerful 12-speaker Bose sound system.

2023 GMC Sierra AT4X Engine Specs
The new 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is an off-roader that will use the same Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 mechanics. It’s available with a naturally-aspirated 6.2 liter V8 L87 gasoline engine as standard, producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This unit sends power through a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case.
GMC also claims that it has multiple driving modes, such as Terrain Mode for one-pedal rock crawling capabilities. Unlike the regular variant, the AT4X also employs front and rear e-locking differentials, unique chassis, and tuned suspension. As for the payload capacity, it’s 1,420 pounds, while the trailering is 8,900 pounds.
