2023 GMC Sierra Denali Spy Shots Reveals a Partially Camouflaged Truck

The new spy photos of the 2023 GMC Sierra Denali emerged online and it seems the upcoming truck is coming with a much more attractive exterior compared to the previous generation. As far as we know, the manufacturer will fully reveal the new truck this month.

Moreover, spy shots are available but GMC Sierra Denali is still wearing mild camos, which prevented us from seeing some of the details associated with the update. However, we have one image on the inside, and it seems GMC will introduce a bunch of new technology. As for the engine, GMC will reportedly make some noteworthy revisions to the powertrain lineup.

Outside, the new 2023 GMC Sierra features a slightly revised front fascia compared to the outgoing model. It seems that the caught model is the range-topping Denali trim. We also noticed a larger grille, revised bumper, and a thinner lower fascia. The headlights are also new like the C-shaped lighting signatures placed in a lower portion of the front grille.

The side and rear end, unfortunately, don’t reveal many changes. We noticed the same cab, wheels, taillights, and exhaust very similar as on the outgoing model. It’s also worth noting that the caught Denali model is wearing a black trim package with black wheels, a black grille, and other black accents.

Cabin Upgrades

The cabin of the new 2023 GMC Sierra Denali should continue to be the most luxurious, with a nice amount of soft-touch surfaces. As before, we expect the cabin to remain roomy and quiet. In general, depending on trim and cab configuration, this model can fit six passengers with the crew and double-cab configurations. The seats will be more supportive aka comfortable, and if you choose a 5-passenger Sierra variant, you’ll get a big storage compartment in the center console.

While the interior is still basic, we expect more standard features to be on the table. From the information that we got as standard, the manufacturer will offer a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, Bluetooth pairing, and a USB port.

2023 GMC Sierra Denali Under the Hood

Under the hood, the 2023 GMC Sierra will introduce some noteworthy revisions to the powertrain lineup. As far as we know, the naturally aspirated 4.3 liter V6 gasoline engine, as well as the naturally aspirated 5.3 liter V8 are no longer under the hood of this model.

Additionally, we expect this model to come with a turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine that will get more output and boost of 420 pound-feet. Besides this engine, the manufacturer will also use an optional 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax that should get a boost in tow ratings. Probably it will be able to pull more than 12,500 pounds.

2023 GMC Sierra Denali Release Date and Price

The release date of all versions of GMC Sierra including Denali is set for the next year. However, according to many reports, the manufacturer will likely fully reveal it this month. As mentioned, the prototype of the Sierra truck has been spied testing a couple of times wearing a camo.

It looks refreshed compared to the previous model featuring a new front fascia. As for the pricing, it will probably cost a couple of thousand more than the current model. The outgoing GMC Sierra with a regular cab and the long bed starts at $29,700, while the crew cab with a short bed, is around $36,000. However, a fully loaded Denali can reach almost $70,000.
