The new renderings of the 2023 Kia Sportage Pickup Truck just came up, and it looks almost identical to the SUV variant. First of all, it comes with the same front end, while on the rear, we immediately noticed a small bed. The rendered model is in crew cab form, offering a roomy cabin for all passengers.
Also, from the latest information, the pickup truck could borrow many cues from the SUV variant. The current SUV features a very modern cabin that houses plenty of new technology. Interestingly, many believe that trucks will also use the same engines as the SUV model.

2023 Kia Sportage Pickup Truck Design
The first renderings of the 2023 Kia Sportage Pickup Truck are available, and we must admit, the truck looks identical to the upcoming SUV variant. Last month, Kia released some images of the 2023 Kia Sportage, and the first impressions are very positive. This model separates from other compact crossovers with its truly extroverted design. Interestingly, the exact appearance is present on the rendered truck as well.
The front end features a set of alien-looking LED headlights and a distinct grille design. On top of that, bodywork is sleek and muscular, with attractive taillights similar to one on the all-electric Kia EV6. On the back, we noticed a small bed with new KIA lettering on the tailgate.
Interior Rumors
Inside, we expect the 2023 Kia Sportage Pickup Truck looks to borrow almost everything for the SUV variant. It makes sense because a very comfortable and technology-rich cabin highlights the SUV model. Inside, there are various eye-catching details as the attractive two-tone color scheme and center console.
The center console is housing a 12.0-inch touchscreen that runs on Kia’s latest infotainment software. Also, there is a massive gauge cluster that includes another 120-inch screen. Besides, we also expect Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality to be on all models.

2023 Kia Sportage Pickup Truck Engine Specs
As we heard, there is a high chance that the Kia Sportage Pickup Truck will use two engines from the SUV variant. The main engine is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that makes perfectly adequate 181 horsepower. The range-topping SX Turbo comes with a more potent engine. This one comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder configuration that creates a meaty 240 horsepower (or 237 when all-wheel drive is in the picture).
Both engines are connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive (FWD) is the basic setup. However, you can still add all-wheel drive (AWD) optionally on every trim level. A hybrid or plug-in hybrid could also be available. Considering that towing of the Sportage SUV is 2,000 pounds, the new pickup truck should allow at least 8000 pounds thanks to its bed.

Release Date and Price
At this point, there is no clue if the Kia Sportage Pickup Truck will be put on the production line. Many rumors are suggesting that the debut of the all-new model might happen sometime next year.
It’s hard to conclude, but we heard that Kia would develop a body-on-frame truck for Australia. Nevertheless, there’s no guarantee this truck will be sold in the United States. Stay tuned for more upcoming information about the 2023 Kia Sportage Pickup Truck.
