The new 2023 Mazda BT-50 is officially confirmed, and we can expect it to receive the same treatment as the new CX-50. In case you didn’t know, the BT-50 is the company’s only pickup truck and is very well-rated in the segment.
The truck is entering its third generation, sharing the same chassis with the Isuzu D-Max. Besides more attractive design language, the forthcoming truck should also introduce many upgrades inside. At this point, there is no exact information regarding its engine, but many believe that will be available with the same two powertrain options as the current one.

2023 Mazda BT-50 Facelift
As the recently introduced Mazda CX-50 SUV, the new 2023 Mazda BT-50 should receive the same treatment. This means we can expect this truck to come with the same attractive front end.
In the past, this pickup was related to Ford Ranger, but cooperation with the Blue Oval company ended up. However, Mazda’s gorgeous KODO design language will be present, which should look even better on the pickup truck.
Interior
Inside, the new 2023 Mazda BT-50 looks quite a bit different than before. Due to the new architecture, this truck features a similar dashboard as the recently introduced Isuzu D-Max.
Also, the layout is rugged, and we noticed more smooth and elegant lines, which characterize Mazda’s interiors. We are talking about a crew cab layout, which is capable of accommodating five passengers in both rows pretty easily. In general, the Mazda BT-50 is made of nice materials, and the cabin looks more upscale than before. For 2023YM, the manufacturer will also introduce an updated infotainment system. Overall, we can also expect Mazda to introduce some new safety features to keep up with other rivals.

2023 Mazda BT-50 Engine Specs
As we said, there is no official news about the engine of the 2023 Mazda BT-50. The current generation comes with two different options, providing great performance. As standard, it uses a 3.2-liter five-cylinder unit producing 200 horsepower and 345 lb-ft torque.
Optionally, you can get a less power-hungry model that consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder SkyActiv engine generating 185 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque. On top of that, Mazda offers both engines with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic one. As standard, we can expect the new BT-50 to use an all-wheel-drive arrangement. Due to the pickup’s shared platform with the Isuzu D-Max, many believe that the BT-50 could deploy the same 3.0-liter diesel engine that’s capable of producing 180 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque.

2023 Mazda BT-50 Price, Release Date
The redesigned 2023 Mazda BT-50 will reportedly cost more than before. It should cost closer to $40,000 for the base model. Logically, the upper trims cost more, and all are offering more equipment.
As far as we know, Mazda plans to launch its pickup truck later this year or at the beginning of 2023. We expect the BT-50 model to rival trucks such as the Toyota Hilux, Volkswagen Amarok, and Nissan Navara.
