The redesigned 2024 Chevrolet Colorado has been spied testing alongside the new GMC Canyon midsize pickup. As far as we know, both trucks will share many things together. First of all, we can expect mentioned models to sit on the same platform, and both to go on sale next year as 2024 models.
We must add that the design language on the spied trucks is identical and we also noticed the same windshields, which are dimensionally bigger than before. Chevy also recently revealed that the new truck will come with improved aerodynamics as well and that will only use a solo engine option.

2024 Chevrolet Colorado Design
The first spy shots are available, and the forthcoming 2024 Chevrolet Colorado looks very stylish. The aesthetic can change quite a bit depending on the trim level as well as several available appearance packages. There’s a dark Midnight Edition, which makes this truck looks stunning and is available only with Z71 and ZR2 models.
You can also get a shiny Chrome Appearance Package or a new Trailboss Package with LT and Z71 models. In terms of size, the Chevrolet Colorado can be had with extended cab models that have a long box or a crew cab model with either a short or a long box.
Highly Customizable Interior
The new 2024 Chevrolet Colorado is about to introduce a bit more flair and nicer materials. Compared to the outgoing model, the cabin is more upscale, featuring enough room for up to five passengers. The crew cab is our favorite model because it provides much more back-seat space. Interestingly, this truck is one of the rarest in class because it is highly customizable.
There are several appearance packages available across the model range, as well as a few trims. The standard features list is pretty sparse. As standard, you’ll get a 7-inch color touchscreen infotainment system with a backup camera, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
2024 Chevrolet Colorado Engine Changes
From the information that we got, the Chevrolet Colorado will lose the current gasoline-burning 3.6-liter V6 and 2.8-liter turbodiesel four. So, the new 2024 Chevrolet Colorado will be only offered with one engine.
The entry-level 2.5-liter four-cylinder won’t return, instead, the manufacturer will use a new 2.7-liter turbo-four that’s currently powering the Silverado and the Sierra trucks. The engine is capable of developing 310 horsepower and a stout 348 pound-feet of torque. It is also connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2024 Chevrolet Colorado Price, Release Date
The next generation of the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado is expected to cost slightly more than before. The current truck starts at $25,200 for the bare-bones WT 2WD Extended Cab model. However, the much better-equipped LT trim is $27,700, while the off-road-oriented Z71 model starts at $34,800. The most expensive is still the beastly ZR2 variant, which starts at $42,600.
In general, the pricing of the new Colorado varies depending on the cab/box configuration, engine, and various options. In the same pricing line with Colorado are models such as the Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma. Anyway, the GMC Canyon costs significantly more. The sales of the new truck will start sometime next year, probably before summertime.
