Sadly, the eagerly anticipated 2024 GMC Canyon pickup truck has been reportedly delayed until the next year. Fortunately, we have some spy shots of the upcoming truck, which is spied on the pubic road wearing a light camouflage. As far as we can see, the third-generation GMC Canyon is about to introduce a long list of changes and updates.
Although the front end is covered in camouflage, we noticed a revised grille and more attractive headlights located lower on the front fascia. One of our favorite things about the Canyon is the engines under its hood. As a model before, the new pickup will be available with three engines.

2024 GMC Canyon Changes
The first spy photos of the 2024 GMC Canyon are available, and the new pickup truck is wearing light camouflage. Although the front end is covered, we saw the revised grille and fascia, along with more shaped and tiny headlights.
The front also reveals a pair of new fog lights located in the middle of the front bumper. The side profile is visible, and the spied model rolls on a 20 inches wheels in diameter. The rollers are wrapped in Bridgestone Dueller AT tires, and we spotted a prominent set of side steps. The rear of this truck should also bring some refreshments including a new taillight and bumper.
What’s New Inside?
At the moment, there is no available image of the 2024 GMC Canyon’s interior. However, considering a completely new exterior design, the next-generation pickup truck will come with a brand-new interior design. This means we can expect a more comfortable seat, better technologies and probably the same roomy cabin.
Of course, more premium features are available on the Denali model. The Denali package should bring leather seats, Bose 7-speaker premium audio, and also a ventilated front seat. The 8-inch infotainment system with navigation could be now standard equipment.

2024 GMC Canyon Engine Specs
As we said, there will be three available engines with the 2024 GMC Canyon. The base is a 2.5-liter inline-4 and is capable of making 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. The more powerful is a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The last one and the most favorite is a Duramax 2.8-liter turbodiesel inline-4 turbodiesel capable of generating 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
The base 4-cylinder uses as standard 2WD, while 4WD is available on upper trims and Denali models. With the standard engine, the Canyon has a max towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs. However, upgrade to the more robust Duramax engine, and you can max tow 7,700 lbs.
2024 GMC Canyon Price, Release Date
