It is a season of redesign, and the recently spotted 2024 RAM 2500 HD confirms that. This large, heavy-duty pickup truck is made squarely for those who need a truck for towing heavy loads. It looks robust, and it has a maximum towing capacity of 20,000 pounds, which is far more than most people will ever need.
For 2024, we expect the RAM 2500 HD to receive some exterior and interior refreshments, but don’t expect any significant changes, as we saw in the case with the lighter RAM 1500. We’re also expecting the upcoming truck to introduce a new Rebel trim, which has been available on the Ram 1500 for years.

2024 RAM 2500 HD Exterior
The 2024 RAM 2500 HD looks refreshed, featuring a more muscular look than before. One of the most popular American pickup trucks will keep the same colossal grille, but it will introduce a new 18-wheel design and more curved lines through the body.
The Limited model is the most unique one because it comes with its own special grille, while the Limited Longhorn trim features unique 2-tone paint options. The Power Wagon is also available, and it has the most rugged off-road appearance, which is very similar to the Ram Rebel.
More Quality Inside
On the inside, the RAM 2500 HD will be more premium thanks to many quality materials. This truck offers a very spacious cabin that can accommodate up to five passengers. You can choose a few cab options, including a regular cab with no back seats, a crew cab with roomy back seats, and a massive Mega cab with 43 inches of rear legroom.
The Tradesman trim is pretty equipped. With this model, you’ll get features such as work-grade vinyl seats, push-button start, plus basics like air conditioning, a standard infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, and a backup camera.

2024 RAM 2500 HD Engine Specs
Under the hood, the 2024 RAM 2500 HD will be available with a standard 6.4-liter V8 engine, producing 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for a 6.7-liter six-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of producing 370 horses and 850 lb-ft of torque.
As you can see, this engine is much better for towing thanks to high torque. When property equipment, the RAM 2500 can tow up to 20,000 lbs, while the much stronger RAM 3500 more than 37,000 pounds. It is also worth mentioning that the RAM 2500 can carry up to 3,240lbs, while RAM 3500 around 7,680lbs.

How Much Will the 2024 RAM 2500 HD Cost?
We expect the new RAM 2500 HD to be in the same pricing range as its predecessor. The current RWD 2500 Regular Cab Tradesman model starts at $39,160, and it can climb significantly with added 4WD and bigger cab.
The famous 2500 Crew Cab model is $42,780, while the bigger 2500 Mega Cab is $52,155. Anyway, if you’re looking for a bigger truck, you can get a 3500 Regular Cab for $40,940. The pricing of the Ram HD is in line with the Ford Super Duty and Chevrolet Silverado HD models. From what we know, the redesigned RAM 2500 will be available to purchase in the fall of 2023.
